White water lilies spread out across the surface and
blue irises fan out around the edge of the decking. The
Garden Room is home to bougainvillea and other tender conservatory
plants.
The bold-leaved Agave americana takes a summer holiday outside along with a pair of standard Brugmansias (daturas) whose trumpets scent the evening air. Dragonflies emerge to dry their wings and swallows swoop to take a drink - what heaven to sit on the basin edge (left). |
